2026 STATE CONFERENCE
February 20 and 21, 2026
California State University, East Bay
California Dance Education Association recognizes the importance of providing a space for dance educators to come together, collaborate, mentor, practice, and dance as a collective. Our 2026 statewide conference, Momentum, will encourage collaboration, community, and advocacy among dance educators across all sectors. Conference attendees will engage in enriching discussions, movement workshops, and presentations aimed at harnessing the unique narratives and diverse perspectives that shape our dance communities. This conference promises to ignite new ideas, deepen connections, and empower change in the field of dance education. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where educators can share their knowledge, experiences, and resources to enhance their teaching practices. By fostering collaboration, we believe that dance educators can spark creativity, explore new ideas, and develop innovative teaching strategies that engage all students.
We invite you to apply to present at our statewide conference Momentum, held at CSU East Bay, February 20 and 21, 2026. CDEA is looking for dance educators who would like to present their research, movement practice or other pedagogy to an audience of their peers in a welcoming and collaborative environment. There is no cost to present or apply. Application process is open to both members and non members.
Please submit your conference proposal no later than November 16, 2025.
