Birmingham High School is looking for a highly qualified, dedicated dance teacher who would like to be a part of a hard working, creative and integrated team of performing arts professionals. Birmingham High School has a Performing and Visual Arts Academy and a spacious dance studio.
The dance educator position is open for a physical education credentialed teacher (or in the process of obtaining a California P.E. credential). As per California Senate Bill 1209, out-of-state prepared Single-Subject teachers in either dance, kinesiology or physical education, can obtain a preliminary CA credential in physical education.
Responsibilities:
- 4 periods of PE/Dance
- 1 period intermediate and advanced Dance - audition only (with the ability
to grow into separate classes)
- 1 period conference
- 2 dance shows per year (stipend)
- Choreograph the performing arts' spring musical (stipend)

is advertising a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in dance, to begin Fall
semester 2008.
Northwest Vista College is a rapidly expanding campus in a diverse metropolitan area
poised for major growth.
A state-of-the-art fine and performing arts complex is scheduled for completion by 2010.
The successful candidate will have at least a Masters degree in dance as well as
college-level teaching experience in dance.
